Our original plans for this weekend were to go camping up in McCall, but other things came up, and we ended staying in town. So our day including helping out a friend, a great bbq burger, homemade ice cream, and fireworks. Some friends came over to celebrate the holiday with us, and we had a great time visiting, playing games, and watching fireworks. The great thing about living in Star is that there don't really appear to be any firework laws, so there were some amazing displays for us to watch while we sat in the driveway. I say "great" but judging by all the sirens that we heard while watching, I'm not sure the fire department thought it was so great.
The only bummer of the day was that the girls didn't get in bed until about midnight, and then Bailee was up at 6:45 this morning. That made for a long Saturday, but once a year is fine, right?

Morgan tries out a sparkler with Miss Jaimee.

How many guys does it take to light a firework?

Looks like you had a great day! WE love Star, nobody obeys the laws. We're still like the old west out here. Watch out for the cows crossing the road! :)
