July 4th Weekend

We had a fun filled weekend celebrating Independence Day.  We started everything off on Saturday morning by going to Boise's parade with the Johnsons.  Nothing like a parade with friends!

See Titus behind the girls?  He really had the best spot.  They got SO much candy, and to minimize fighting, we told them to put all the candy in a big pile on the blanket as they got it and that we'd divide it up afterwards.  Well, Titus saw that big pile of candy and since he was behind the girls, they didn't see how much he was eating.  Pretty smart kid!  He did eventually notice where they were getting it and had to get in on the action.

While we were walking back to our car, I saw this fire hydrant and had to take a picture because I thought it was funny.  Someone had put googly eyes on it!

Sunday morning, Morgan woke up and had to wear her patriotic dress that Grandma Sherry made last year.  It was a little big last year, but fit great this year.

Sunday night we went to the Boise firework display at Ann Morrison park.  We went down after church to grab a spot and enjoyed a picnic dinner with the Johnsons and my parents.  The kids played and the adults visited while we increased our waistlines with lots of yummy treats.  It was unseasonably cool yesterday (I think the high was only in the 70's) so it cooled off considerably when the sun went down.  The kids all decided to pile on my mom and share her blanket.

Bailee and Abby being silly...

Hallie and Morgan cuddling up next to my mom.  I think there was a little rivalry going on to see who could use the most lap.  Mom is quite popular.

Titus and his cookie.

The fireworks were great, but Morgan decided again this year that she doesn't like fireworks.  I think that we'll probably have to bring earplugs for her next year.  She said that they were scarey.

We made it back to the car, and it didn't take long before this was what I saw in my backseat...

Two sleepy litle girls after a full weekend of fun.  Of course, that didn't keep Morgan from getting up bright and early this morning.  Little stinker.

Fun times!! And yes, your mom is so popular with all the little kids--how does she do that? :)
